Advancing from the 20+ years history and knowledge of the builders at Attebury Street Rods, ASR Performance is moving towards a new vision in the industry. With the recent changes in the vehicle marketplace, and a passion for Ford Mustangs, ASR has expanded its approach to now include muscle cars and pro-touring street machines.
What started as a vision of Matt Dowd’s years ago became reality in 2013 with the completion of the first Independent Front and Rear Suspension for 1967-1970 Mustangs. In 2014 the first IRS and IFS prototype went to production and was installed on a converted right hand drive 1967 Ford Mustang debuted at the SEMA show and invited to the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational. Proving its pro-touring capabilities with completion of the events, track time and over 1,200 miles driven in one week.
ASR Performance is excited to expand our capabilities and to take our experience and apply it to not only hot rods and street rods, but also muscle cars and pro-touring vehicles now.
ASR Performance Tubular IFS Kit with new pair of forged dropped spindles that improve suspension geometry. Flaming River quick ratio power rack and pinion for left hand and right hand drive.
ASR Performance Independent Rear Suspension Conversion Kit for 1967 to 1970 Mustangs. Includes new 100% BILLET aluminum Ford 9” housing and a finned BILLET aluminum differential cover. Strange Engineering aluminum third member with 3.90 gear ratio. Tubular control arms and BILLET aluminum hubs with new Timken Wheel Bearing Hub Assembly.
100% machined from billet aluminum, no cast parts at all. It can be installed in any street rod, hot rod or muscle car. Comes with ASR billet brake calipers and 10” rotors. Strange Engineering axles and bearings in 28 or 31 spline. It also has a removable rear cover in a smooth or finned design. It’s also available with coil over, air ride or torsion bar type suspension. It performs as good as it looks, and completes any high end project.
Comes complete with a housing & cover polished billet aluminum with a removable rear cover in a finned or smooth design. Axle and Big Ford Axle bearings included with removable axle tubes. Strange Engineering axles and bearings in 28 or 31 spline. Overall length flange to flange 55”, or custom lengths also available. An extra option with the 9 inch is an ASR’s polished disc brake kit with rear end. Kit includes polished calipers with Wilwood brake pads, polished backing plates, rotors and hats.
